Steel Media

We provide burnishing media to be used in rotary horizontal barrels, vibratory tubs, through or bowl-type finishing machines or turret-mounted drum machines.

This steel media produce a burr-free, bright, smooth surface. Steel media is long-wearing and durable. Size and material type are specified according to the parts to be finished.

Sizes, Shapes and Materials

Round - manufactured to the nominal diameter dimension with no visual surface irregularities. Specified for critical applications only.

Cones/Balcones - very popular for vibratory finishing application requiring aggressive action. See dimensional specifications table for configuration.

Diagonals - particularly suited to odd shaped where lodging might be a problem or parts with hard to reach angles. See dimensional specifications table for configuration.

Ovalballs -
are used for vibratory finishing and barrel tumbling operations when a scratch and dimple free finish is required. See dimensional specifications table for configurations.
